Midsummer Swing is back for its 4th edition - the weekend before Midsummer! Join us for a three days full of dancing and fun all over the beautiful city of Riga! Save the date: 12 - 14 June 2026!

Teachers & Classes

Elice Fällström & Sakarias Larsson

Coming to us from the heart of the Swedish swing scene, Sakarias Larsson and Elice Fällström bring a wealth of experience to the dance floor. Both are members of the legendary swing dance company The Hot Shots.

Sakarias sports a 25-year career in the Lindy Hop world spanning thousands of shows, from the Apollo Theatre to Sweden’s Got Talent. A founder of Stockholm’s famous Chicago swing dance studio, he actually met and knew some of the original swing dancers of Harlem and he was good friends with Frankie Manning. When he isn’t dancing, he’s the drummer for the bands The Hornsgatan Ramblers and The Vanjas.

Elice transitioned from a background as an elite gymnast and modern dancer to Lindy Hop at age 24, instantly falling in love with its acrobatic roots and freedom of expression. She focuses on the split-second artistic exchange between partners and the music, creating a soulful and technical dance experience. You may also catch her bringing her musicality to life on stage as a singer.

Lindy Hop classes will be held in two levels on Saturday and Sunday, 2h a day.

The Shoekillers

We couldn’t get enough of the fantastic Shoekillers last year. So we are delighted to welcome them back to Riga at Midsummer Swing 2026!

The Shoekillers are real experts when it comes to playing for swing dancers, having performed at countless Lindy Hop events throughout Lithuania and all over Europe.

Attempting to capture the unmatched thrill of the Swing era and its authentic rhythmic pulse, the band has been following in the footsteps of legendary artists like Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Dizzy Gillespie for nearly 9 years. With each performance, they strive to ignite every song with the true essence of Swing.
